MTV International is in search of a student-editor to edit and finalize an online documentary for MTV International's HIV prevention campaign, Staying Alive.

The final documentary should be approximately 2 minutes in length and will be placed on the MTV Staying Alive website (www.staying-alive.org) as part of their "Vox Pop" series. All footage has been completed and will need to be fully edited and formatted including the incorporation of music, some subtitles, ending credits and various slides with informative text.

The deadline for the final product is : Wednesday, September 15th.

This project will credit your name (&/or website) in the ending credits but is unpaid and FOR EXPERIENCE ONLY. However, depending on the result of this collaboration, it could lead to a paid editing opportunity.

A couple days ago I installed a 2GB RAM chip in my ThinkPad. Somehow the upgrade knocked out my wireless connection. Argh!! I went back to the prior chip and the wireless is still out. I did a system restore and even that didn’t work. I checked the Device Manager > Network Adapters > Properties and the device status reads, ‘This device is working properly.’ Guess what? It’s not. I downloaded a couple drivers from the Lenovo web site; still nothing. I’m thinking that it may be hardware now, but not sure. Can someone assist me with this? I can bring the laptop with me and meet in any Starbucks in NYC, Queens, or Brooklyn. I can pay you like $40, but I don’t have tons of money these days. If I could take you out for a few beers, for helping me out, I’d prefer to do that.
