The Communication Arts Department at Gordon College is looking for an organized and self-motivated person with professional video production experience (specifically with Canon SLR cameras) to oversee our equipment checkout procedures and assist students with their media production needs. Job description is below.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
• Oversee, organize, and conduct checkout and return of equipment to students (including enforcement of checkout procedures, deadlines, and fines)
• Perform weekly maintenance of production equipment (including camera, audio, and lighting)
• Be available to answer production and post-production related questions from students
• Maintain clean and organized equipment storage
• Conduct regular equipment inventory
• Suggest improvements for lab workflow and future equipment acquisitions

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
• Expertise with sound, lighting and video equipment (specifically Canon SLR, Panasonic HVX, and mini-DV)
• Knowledge of Final Cut Pro and Apple computers/software
• Ability to master new computer software with speed and proficiency, specifically equipment checkout program (WebCheckout)
• Ability to enforce lab policies consistently
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Self-motivated

Features/Events/Meetings/Profiles:
We’re looking for news/feature reporters with good skills to tell stories online. We like triple-threats: reporters able to write, photograph, and create videos. You should know how to get your story and ask the tough questions. You’ll cover government, arts, schools, sports and breaking news (sometimes on evenings and weekends). At least two years of community reporting experience preferred. Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required. Payment per story.

Call for Actors for MIT video project.

We are looking for male and female actors for video depicting future world scenarios. The video consists mostly of newscasts and discussion panels with journalists, reporters, television anchors and policy makers.

Tentative shooting dates are September 30th and October 1st.

The producers of Say Yes to the Dress and Real Housewives DC are seeking Boston area WOMEN who are starting or already run their own business- ideally event planners, caterers, boutique owners, salon owners, or anything that provides a visually interesting back drop. This project is for development for a major cable network with a predominantly female viewership. Once we find the right "cast", the premise of the show will build around them.
