Web Business Analyst (Direct Hire) (Kansas City, MO)

The selected Web Business Analyst will be responsible for business analysis, web design & usability, and full life cycle testing for all new and existing online tools that optimize customer facing business processes. This will include performing business analysis and requirements definition for new online systems and enhancements to existing systems. Role will include:
• Develop wireframes and logical workflows following common human factors / usability standards
• Work closely with on and off-site teams to determine application and data needs, clearly documenting and communicating those demands to the appropriate IT personnel.

Qualifications expected of the Web Business Analyst
The selected candidate will need the ability to effectively write specifications for Java, .Net, and SharePoint applications with wireframes and logical workflows containing concise annotations. This will require the following:
• Solid foundation in Web Usability, Human Factors and Web Design
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Paint, Vision, Team Foundation Server, and SharePoint
• Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on root-cause analysis and quality metrics
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to foster business relationships
• Candidates must be process and detail oriented
• The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is motivated by new challenges and does not require day-to-day supervision.
• A willingness to work directly with international resource teams during analysis, clarification of development tasks and timelines, and integration testing.
• The ability to communicate the big picture on project tasks (i.e. overall timeline goals and +/- achievement on each) to supervising manager

COMSYS currently has an opening for a back-end Oracle/Java Developer for an open-ended contract for our client in the telecommunications industry in the Kansas City metro.

Developer II performs medium complexity (i.e. application modules) analysis, design, development and unit testing of software applications from user requirements and design documents. The candidate also resolves defects encountered during various testing cycles.

Must have strong experience with stored procedures, triggers and PL/SQL.

Requirements:
2 to 4 years software development experience needed.

T-SQL Developer/SQL DBA (Kansas City, MO)

COMSYS currently has an opening for a SQL Server DBA/Developer for our client in downtown Kansas City. This is a minimum 6 month contract with expected extensions, or conversion to direct hire. Pay is dependent upon experience. COMSYS offers full comprehensive benefits, paid training, relocation assistance, and referral rewards.

The ideal candidate would be someone who started out as a database administrator or systems administrator then moved into architecture and development. Given a Business Requirements Doc, this candidate would be able to take it and conceptualize a database model and stored procedures to access the database tables. Appropriate candidate will also need to know when it’s right to use a trigger and when not. (Candidates who were pure database developers without the base administration experience, would likely not be suitable candidates.) They need to be familiar with SQL Server 2005 and earlier. T-SQL development experience is a must. The role will have about 25-50% Data Architect needs with rest being database development using T-SQL.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Data Services and need at least 5 years exp with SQL Server.
- Experience working as a production DBA, SQL installation, clustering, backup/restore, replication, Windows Server
- Experience with performance tuning both SQL Server and T-SQL
- Strong experience with T-SQL
- Worked on a system with high volume of transactions, not just reporting
- Familiar with relational database
- Familiar with data modeling
- Worked in a team environment
